Services
It's been more than a decade since Anne, a native of Stockholm, Sweden, founded Keeping the Books, Inc. with an initial client list of small restaurants and retail shops on Miami Beach's Lincoln Road.
Anne's familiarity with the restaurant business dates back to her college years, when she handled bookkeeping for a busy eatery while she simultaneously earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University.
After training with an esteemed local CPA firm to learn the bookkeeping and accounting procedures of small business, Anne's accounting career took off when she was promoted to assistant controller of the restaurant.
Stacie, born and raised in the New York area, joined KTB in 2009.
She holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a Minor in Accounting from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh, as well as a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Union Graduate College in New York.
Stacie began her career with a major New York-based insurance company, where she handled accounts payable for six different branches.
After relocating to South Florida in 2007, she also spent two years as accounting manager with a large Miami-based solar power company.
Megan, also a native Miamian and fluent Spanish speaker, joined KTB in 2012 and has quickly advanced in her bookkeeping career with us.
Megan's background includes a B.S. in Nursing from Florida International University, from which she graduated with honors.
While earning her degree, Megan worked in various administrative positions that led her to become interested in the field of bookkeeping and accounting.
After graduation, she began working as a bookkeeper for a local entrepreneur who managed multiple business entities.
Jane, a native Miamian and fluent Spanish speaker, joined the KTB team in 2013 as our Public Relations Representative.
With her background in accounting and her extensive experience in sales and public speaking, Jane is the perfect fit for this newly created position.
Her experience in the field dates back to her college years, as she worked at several CPA firms while completing her B.S. in Accounting and Management Information Systems at Florida International University.
Jane's resume includes an internship at the esteemed national CPA firm Morrison Brown Argiz & Farra, LLC as well as a full-time position at the national firm Deloitte & Touche, LLP working with financial accounting and audit clients.
All small business owners need to have sound financial information in order to manage their businesses.
By providing such a service, owners are able to focus on what they do best, whether it is retail sales or providing legal services.
By maintaining the books, payroll functions, billing functions and reconciling accounts, we are able to provide full-scale bookkeeping and financial reporting to our clients.
Rather than having a stand-alone bookkeeper, our company provides a bookkeeper assigned to the account along with a supervisor managing the work and helping the owner to address all accounting matters.
