He left public accounting for several years and served as the Fiscal Officer for one of Mississippi's ten Planning & Development Districts before returning to public accounting in 2003. Dean graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration in Accounting.

One day while the class was in the lab the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.
