Working together, we will build a financial plan for whatever market conditions or unexpected events you encounter. Throughout the 15 years I've been working with clients, I've helped them realize the significant benefits of working with a trusted financial advisor. As a CPA financial planner, I help clients save money in taxes, simplify their financial life and enjoy peace of mind knowing someone is watching out for them.

I believe your situation deserves ongoing financial planning advice and investment management as well. Let's work together to best position you to meet your goals and have financial peace of mind.
Services
Imagine a trusted financial advisor looking out for you during all market conditions, when tax laws change, and when you experience life events.
An advisor that proactively plans for whatever scenarios may occur in your life.
A financial advisor that listens to your concerns and helps you navigate all the ups and downs of life as they impact you financially.
The demands of work and family life make it difficult to stay on top of investing and financial planning.
Your compensation includes company stock and you want to make the most of it.
There are a number of attributes my clients share that make for a successful long-term relationship.
Although most of my clients wouldn't consider themselves "wealthy", they have saved a nest egg of at least $750,000.
They have done this through consistent saving and managing spending.
Knowing that financial success is too important to be doing it themselves, clients seek the guidance of an advisor.
They want an advisor that they can count on to manage and coordinate their financial pieces while they focus on living their best life.
After graduating from Mankato State University with a degree in Accounting, I worked for several years in various Fortune 500 companies.
But I always wanted to work with people, money, and investments.
In the early 90's, the primary way to do that work was to sell products (annuities, life insurance, etc.).
I am not a natural salesperson and the conflicts of interest were not acceptable to me.
I knew I wanted a practice that treated clients how I would want to be treated.
Imagine my excitement in 2002 when I came upon a fee-only financial planning practice model!
After graduating from University of St. Thomas with a degree in business and economics, I attended St. Thomas School of Law.
While obtaining my Juris Doctor, I had the opportunity to volunteer and focus on estate planning, financial law, and employment law.
After passing the bar in 2019, I worked for a regional law firm working in a variety of employment, insurance, and litigation areas.
I have always enjoyed being part of a team and working with people to bring positive solutions to their situations.
Every team needs that one person who provides exceptional frontline client service.
For our team, that person is Vicky Sawyer.
Whether it is coordinating the opening of new accounts, chasing down a complicated transfer of assets or simply taking care of day to day tasks, Vicky's 34 + years of experience and caring approach ensure clients have the peace of mind that someone is minding the details.
When away from the office you can find her volunteering as a Girl Scout leader and more notably Vice President, Lake County Buckeye Square Dance Club.
