In 1984, five forward-thinking CPAs came together in Florence, South Carolina to put into operation their vision for a new accounting and consulting firm model.
For years, national firms had begun to expand typical service offerings provided by CPAs.
However, local firms, particularly in South Carolina, were still providing only traditional bookkeeping, tax return and financial statement preparation.
From the beginning, the vision of this newly formed group Webster, Rogers, West, Berry & Grady included establishing niche practice areas that provided much needed specialty services for businesses and individuals as well as the traditional accounting and tax advice.
