She earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with emphasis in accounting at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, one of the most prestige universities of Colombia.
In 1999 she and her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she worked for Grace Williams & Associates CPA PC. and H&R Block; this experience helped shaping her knowledge and understanding of American tax regulations and accounting.
