Jeff S. Mortimer, CPA LTD is a family owned and operated firm with a long history of providing excellent service to its clients. Jeff Mortimer has been working in the accounting industry for over 30 years, serving multiple industries and clients of all sizes. In the early 1990's, he was working as a CFO for a mid-sized company in the central Illinois area when he decided to start his own public accounting firm, with the idea that he could provide more than the typical small-town tax preparer.
Using his experiences from his previous roles as a CFO, Jeff realized that he could provide similar CFO services to small or medium sized businesses that don't have the need for a full-time CFO or don't want to deal with the hiring process for an accounting team. Beginning in his basement and with the help of his wife, Kris, he made that vision come to life.
By the early 2000's, the business had transitioned from a basement start-up to a small team in an office. Since then, we have continued to grow and expand the services we provide as well as our staff.
