He attended the University of California at Santa Barbara where he received his BA in Economics (with Accounting Emphasis).
Early in his career he worked for several companies in Southern California, in different industries and client sizes, allowing him to learn many different financial operations.
Prior to relocating to Northern California he was the Controller of a 100+employee long distance telephone provider with revenues of $32 million operating in 29 states, after having been promoted from Tax Manager.

Endowment awards are funds that come directly from colleges and do not need to be paid back, thus significantly easing the financial burden of sending a student to college.
