SHERMAN CPA PC provides tax, accounting and related services for businesses and individuals. For nearly 50 years, we have provided dedicated service to our clients, many of which have been with us for decades. Despite many societal changes over the years, we still understand the art and value of client service, which is the foundation of our firm's culture.
As a small firm, we are able to provide responsive service without a clients' needs getting lost in a chain of multiple levels, yet we're big enough to have the resources and experience that our clients expect. Our firm has been paperless and virtual since 2006 - we were "green" before it was fashionable. This enables us to employ top technological tools that allow us to be more flexible to the way our clients work, more proactive in our approach to projects and deadlines, and more responsive when a client need arises.
Naturally we prepare tax returns, but we're all about building and maintaining relationships with our clients. We want our clients to succeed and meet their goals - their financial needs are personal to us.

Mike Sherman founded the firm in the late 1960s.
He began as a sole-practitioner with a few clients, and an entirely manual operation.
Over the subsequent decades, he worked long hours, devoted himself to serving his clients, and grew the practice.
He partnered with Rich in 1992.
At the time, Rich had worked for five years at one of the (then) Big Eight accounting firms; and with Mike's practice growing, he needed help.
It was a good fit.
Mike embraced and encouraged the technological and logistical changes over the years, and was very proud of the direction that he and Rich took the firm.
