After teaching for 7 years, she "retired" and began doing the bookkeeping for her family's Tree Care Company, Tree Doctors North, Inc.
For more than 15 years, she managed all financial aspects of the business and became a QuickBooks expert.
In 2011, the tree business was sold so that Patti's husband could pursue a career in Law.
In 2012 Patti organized Simply Balanced Books, received further QuickBooks training and certifications and began helping small business owners manage their companies.
