Randy attended University of Florida and graduated in 1976 with a Bachelors of Science degree in business administration.
He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1979 and worked for several small and mid size CPA firms.
He there found his niche in estate and trust tax work and started his own practice in 1987.
He and Jack created James & Surman in 1988, after having worked together at another local CPA firm for nine years.
