I grew up in an environment where I was surrounded by accountants. My maternal grandfather was a CPA. My father and uncle are both CPA's, and they helped start a very successful firm in Burlington, NC - Stout, Stuart, McGowen & King, LLP. So, it would be appropriate to say that accounting is in my blood. After graduation, I attended Duke Divinity School and briefly worked in the ministry.
But, I eventually found my way back to accounting. Currently, I have over 10 years experience working with CPA firms doing tax preparation and bookkeeping for a wide range of industries. You may find me quiet at first, but you will quickly find out that I am a true people person who loves taking care of my clients. I am willing to take the time my clients deserve so they understand what I am doing and why I am doing it.
My goal is that my clients can work on their business during the day while I take care of the back office, and hopefully my clients can sleep well at night knowing their work is in good hands.

The term "virtual" is used because all client interaction will be done via the web.
I don't offer on-site services at this time.
Due to being virtual, certain services other bookkeepers may offer are not available.
For example, if I were to cut checks for a client, I would be glad to overnight the checks for signature, but I don't sign checks.
My philosophy is that an external bookkeeper should have enough access to financial data to do the work, but not enough access to influence it.
I would be glad to help you create invoices and / or statements for your clients / customers in your accounting software.
