Carter CPA was established in 2002 by Jodi Carter, CPA. After a long and fruitful accounting mentorship that began in 1991, she had a vision for a firm that would support clients in a new way. This Financial Insight Accounting (FIA) Firm guides clients to a clear understanding of their financial choices and shows them how they can shift their relationship with money to one that is filled with confidence.

It is hard to believe we have worked with Carter CPA for over 40 years, originally with the founder, Jerald Elkins, and then with Jodi Carter for the past twenty years.
We have had a relatively complicated tax situation stemming from one of us being a salaried employee, the other a business owner and our many ventures into real estate investments, both residential and commercial.
Additionally, we have been primary residents of four different States over the years.
Despite this and the changing tax laws on real estate and other investment strategies, Carter CPA has maintained the necessary expertise and advice that has allowed us to optimize our tax situation.

The annual summary called "Your Social Security Statement" (SSA) is no longer mailed to you by The Social Security Administration because they have made these statements available online.
If you don't yet have an online account with Social Security, you can easily set it up and access your statement here.
Make sure to set up this account for yourself and never share the login information with anyone.
We recommend using the Print and Save option to review your statement annually.
There are other tools available on the SSA website such as replacement cards, obtaining a copy of SSA-1099 for your tax filing, address updates and a calculator for estimating your benefits.
