During my childhood, we always had just enough means to meet household expenses and not much more. It stood out to me how others seemed to be living much more comfortably. My family did not openly discuss financial matters, but I yearned to understand our shortcomings. Nevertheless, math was my first love at school. I was great at it and the subject was practical.
In high school, I enrolled in my first business course and earned an internship at Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Here, my passion for Accounting and being a business advocate was solidified. Upon completing my studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, I have worked in both public and private spaces. Throughout each experience, I found myself looking for a greater purpose.
I did not feel like I was making a difference, nor did I feel like my efforts were appreciated. During the period of operating my childcare facility, I noticed a lack of accounting support for self employed professionals and growing business owners.
