She received her Masters of Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and has studied both Accounting and Finance and International Business at UNCC and the University of North Carolina Wilmington, respectively.
Emily previously worked as an Equity Analyst at Interstate/Johnson & Lane, a regional investment firm, and owned and operated a wine bar/art gallery.
Her background uniquely positions her to understand high-level investment strategies as well as the real world problems that business owners face.
